What does Geoffrey Rush do with Kate Winslet in "Quills"?
I heard he was attracted to her, but she wasn't. What happens between them. Do they kiss?
Im going to disagree with the last poster - to describe the Marquis de Sade to have sexual feeling for Kates character would be stretching the truth a bit. Nor was he attracted to her in the sense of the word we would use. He saw her as just a toy to relieve his boredom.
The character Marquis de Sade was known in this film/his life for his 'pornographic' stories, but also for been impotent. Also for only seeing women (you can tell this by the stories) as just been something to s**g. And to do that in an abusive way.
The most he did was kiss her - but this was just by way of trying to appear shocking, which worked . The only time he felt anything for Madeline was at the end, and that was only minor guilt for her death. But still right at the end his ego pushed that feeling to one side, so he could 'shock' his audience one more time.
